Rev. Prof. Peter Gichure is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Nakuru. He is an Associate Professor of Dogmatic Theology and Peace Studies at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. He holds doctorates in Theology and Religious Studies from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and Master's in Peace Studies from University of Notre Dame, USA. Prof. Gichure is the Theological Advisor of the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission, Kenya. His area of research is on alleviation of poverty and sustainable development. He has vast experience in university academic linkages both at the local and international levels. cuea.edu

Director of Strategic Innovation and Director of Research for Mediate BC, Canada
In June 2021, Sharon received an honorary doctorate from the Justice Institute of British Columbia in recognition of contributions to conflict resolution through practice, advocacy, and the training and mentoring of mediators across Canada. She is also the recipient of the 2011 Susanna Jani Prize for Excellence in Mediation. Sharon Sutherland is a mediator and lawyer with deep expertise in conflict resolution training and program design. She is Director of Strategic Innovation and Director of Research for Mediate BC. Sharon received her Master of Laws in ADR from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1997 before taking on the role of co-Program Manager for the BC Court Mediation Program (1998-2003). From 2000-2014, Sharon was a full-time faculty member at UBC Faculty of Law where, in addition to a range of substantive legal courses, she taught an intensive clinical mediation program and supervised the Faculty’s Judicial Externship program.
From 2006-2010, Sharon worked with Mediate BC to develop a province-wide Child Protection Mediation Practicum aimed at increasing the number of child protection mediators in under-served parts of BC. From 2014-2016, she worked as a Knowledge Engineer in the development of the Civil Resolution Tribunal’s Solution Explorer (Strata and Small Claims).
Sharon is a founding Board member of CoRe Conflict Resolution Society, Past President of the Vancouver Fringe Festival Society, and a member of Pig’n’Potato Games (a collaborative game design group).

Conflict Transformation Coaching
Rev. Dr. Peter Mbaro is the Director, Centre for Social Justice and Ethics.
He is a Diocesan priest of the Catholic Diocese of Nyahururu (Kenya). He was Ordained in 1995. Rev. Dr. Peter Mbaro holds Baccalaureate Degrees in Philosophy and in Sacred Theology from Urbaniana University in Rome, a Licentiate in Moral Theology from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Doctorate in Social Doctrine of the Church from the Lateran Pontifical University in Rome (Italy). He is currently a Senior Lecturer at CUEA in the Centre for Social Justice and Ethics (CSJE) and serves as the Director of the CSJE. Since Sept. 2008, he has been teaching in the area of the Social Doctrine of the Church, with focus on Christian Ethics; Justice and Peace; Church Management and Leadership, hence, he has a rich experience.
